Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically-acclaimed performances of naive and charming characters. Adams was raised in Italy while her father served in the U.S. military and she lived living in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. The mid-1990s saw her begin professional dancing and performed at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. In Minnesota she worked in a regional theatre where her character in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a mockumentary about beauty magazines. Her move into Los Angeles after making her debut as a good-natured but snarky contestant. Between June 1951 and September of 1962, she was wed to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was caught by actress Norma shearer who signed her a contract work for MGM during the 1940s. The decade following she was in a variety of popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
