The baby was born on the 29th of March, 1985 in Roswell near New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican grandparents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. Stevenson is Mexican as well as American. Since she was a child she has had a strong interest in playing activities. Gerina first started golfing at fifteen years old. Gerina completed her high school education at Goddard High School. In high school, she had won the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. In addition to playing volleyball, she also competed at an official level. 2003was the year she started her studies in the University of Texas. In her senior year, she won every single tournament that she played in. In her college career, she was awarded Conference USA individual champion player of the year and UTEP Female Athletics Player of the Year.
