The baby was born on 29 March 1985 at Roswell in New Mexico. Her given name is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but has American nation by birth. She has always been an avid sportsperson. Gerina took up golf when she was just age 15. Gerina went to Goddard High School. In high school, she was the winner of the New Mexico golf state tournament. As a volleyball player, she participated in state championships. The year 2003 was the time she began her studies at the University of Texas. She was the only winner of all competitions she participated in during her senior year. During her college career she won her Conference USA Player of The Year award and the Female UTEP Sports Athletics Award.
